Park. Walk an hour. Eat well. Walk an hour back.
Most weekends in Switzerland we'd ask the same question: where could we go for an easy walk and lunch with the family? The honest answer was always I don't know. So we built this.
Each walk is the same shape — drive to a parking lot, walk for about 60 minutes, eat at a real restaurant, walk 60 minutes back. Round trip ~7 km, gentle pace, kids welcome. The lake is the anchor; the restaurant is the reward; the walk is the point.
An algorithm, not an editor:
1. Park — the closest parking lot to each lake (OpenStreetMap).
2. Walk — every restaurant within 0.3-3.5 km of the parking (60 min one-way max, walking pace 4.5 km/h).
3. Filter — Google Places rating ≥ 4.0★ with at least 30 reviews. No exceptions.
4. Pick the best — highest combined score on rating, review count, and proximity to the 60-minute target.
One winner per lake. No top-10 lists. No paid placement.
Apps that curate trails (Komoot, AllTrails, Strava) work hard to find good routes. We don't. We assume any walk between a parking lot and a popular restaurant is a walk worth doing — because thousands of locals already do it. Crowd-trust beats editorial taste at scale.
No accounts. No favourites yet. No reviews of our own. No sponsored cards. No app to download. If it gets useful enough to keep, we'll add what's needed; until then, it's a static page.
